Hydrogen powered shunter

Enspired Consulting has been providing project and business development support for Vanguard Sustainable Transport Solutions. Our role has included safety management and project guidance for Vanguard’s HydroShunter project which is converting a Class 08 shunter to be powered by hydrogen fuel cell technology. The HydroShunter is being built at the Severn Valley Railway and the design includes cutting edge drivetrain technology to replace the former diesel engine.
